Meet Your Next Great Welder at Merrill Institute’s Reverse Career Fair

Calling all companies in need of skilled welders to attend our Reverse Career Fair! What is a Reverse Career Fair? It is a unique type of career fair, allowing students to set up tables showcasing the knowledge and skills they learned from completing the Merrill Institute’s 12-week welding program. Companies visit our facility to conduct mini interviews with the students. Interviewers can expect to review the students weld performance samples, professional resumes and cover letters during this event.

The Merrill Institute will graduate 17 students from the winter semester of 2020, and they are ready to embark on their new career journey. We ask attending companies to bring in literature and information about the type of welding positions they are looking to fill. Some companies bring in employment applications and hire our welders on the spot!

This is a great opportunity for companies looking to hire certified welders to meet several applicants in just one afternoon. This event provides knowledge to our students of the potential positions available in the welding industry after they complete the program and receive their certifications on April 3, 2020.

The Reverse Career Fair will be held, Friday, March 27, 2020 from 1:00p-4:30p.
