Merrill Institute to Resume Classes after Covid-19 Delay

Late March, at the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak, Merrill Institute (MIN) made the decision to put the health and safety of our students and their families first, which led us to postpone classes. After two long months, the Merrill Institute will resume classes beginning June 1, 2020.

We are excited to welcome back students and accept applications for our summer semester which will operate as scheduled. We take Covid very seriously and have implemented precautions to prevent the spread of the virus, to keep our students and staff healthy.

Adhering to CDC guidelines, we have sanitized our facility including welding labs and classrooms from top to bottom. Everyone is encouraged and reminded to wash their hands regularly and use the hand sanitizer that have been made available throughout the school. Although we already pride ourselves on small class sizes to dedicate the proper instruction to our students, we continue to have a limited number of students attend our sessions and we have the classroom organized to adhere to social distancing guidelines. Students will also undergo a simple temperature check prior to the beginning of each class.

Again, we are eager to resume classes maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment. If you are interested in applying for summer semester and have questions, you may contact Teri Webster by calling 989.462.0322 or email [email protected].
